A light in the darkness
Welcome to this month's Lily Newsletter.
Thanks to research funded by charities like ours, we know more about mitochondrial disease today than ever before. But there is still so much we don't know, and it's often the case that when a child is diagnosed, their parents find themselves desperate for clear answers.
This month we're sharing the story of Silo Dliso, who after tragically losing two daughters to mito, was so determined to find answers he trained in medicine. Silo is now a Physician Associate at Alder Hey Children's Hospital, using his experience to make a difference.
We hope Silo's story will inspire you to keep supporting and donating to Lily, so we can keep searching for answers and bringing hope where it's needed most. Thank you for your continued support!
